The Dark Side Of The Jam

A few years before (2011), I was finishing high school, and I did not know what exactly I should do in my life, then I did a test and started (2012)  to do my university studies in the Federal Institute of Piauí (IFPI). Where I am taking "Analysis and Development of Software".

I was not sure if I wanted to be a programmer along my entire life, but I realized that if you know how to make a computer works, you can do a lot of things because today the world is a big computer. You just need to search if you want to make a software to test new medicines or if you want to make a game.

"Game", I love games, and in march of 2013 a friend called me to enjoy the "Dark Side of the Jam", a global event that incentives people around the world to create a game in 48 hours. That event was hosted by NASA, but in my city (Teresina, Brazil), the studio Sertão Games hosted all of the students and they gave support to us.

That was an amazing experience working as a group, because 48 hours after you should have a game running and everyone was working as hard as possible to make a good thing. However, when we started to make teams, I thought that I could not help my friends, because I did not have experience and then I discovered that to make a game you need to do a lot of things (really, too much things), and probably you will know how to do some of those things to help your group. You just needed to work hard, and ask for help haha.

And after 48 hours that we just slept 4, we made a little educational game. I learned so much with my group (Anderson Farias, Erivânio Vasconcelos, Deyvid Yuri and Carlos Pazuzu), and we also ate a rude amount of pizza haha.
